“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34, ESV)
Discipleship is not a title we wear, but a path we walk. To follow Jesus is to let His footsteps shape our own, carrying His hope into a world that aches for light.
This journey is not a single moment. It is a daily surrender, a steady turning of the heart toward Christ.
The Spirit of God shapes us, teaching us to live as Jesus lived. Each day, He calls us to lay down our own way and trust His.
As we open His Word, as we pray, as we choose obedience, He changes us from the inside out.
We begin to see with new eyes. His eyes. The world grows brighter, even when the path is hard.
THE LIFE OF A DISCIPLE
1. Jesus First
We choose His way above our own and seek to please Him in every part of life. (Mark 8:34–38)
2. Listening and Obeying
We take His words seriously and let them guide our steps. (John 8:31–32)
3. Bearing Fruit
When we stay close to Him, His life flows through us, showing grace, goodness, and faithfulness.
(John 15:5–8)
4. Loving Others
We show His love through patience, kindness, and care for one another. (John 13:34–35)
5. Multiplying Faith
We share what we have received, helping others walk with Jesus, too. (Matthew 28:18–20)
To follow Jesus is to let His life become visible in ours. We love as He loved. We serve as He served. We shine His light in a world that longs for hope.
Let us walk this road together, trusting that He leads each step.
In every season, He is faithful to shape us into His likeness. One step at a time.
Shalom, Jacques
