Through His Wounds Comes Healing

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

The cross is not only our rescue from judgment; it is also our rescue from sin. At Calvary, Jesus bore our guilt and shame. He entered the depths of our brokenness. His blood forgives. His wounds make a path for healing.

His suffering was not distant or symbolic. Soldiers wounded His body. Thorns pressed into His brow. Nails fixed Him to the cross. Yet the greatest weight fell on His soul. The sin of the world pressed down. The Son endured the silence of the Father. For three days, He carried what we cannot measure. Then He rose. The grave could not hold Him.

Because He lives, the cross speaks to every bondage. In Jesus, God does more than pardon. He breaks chains. He comforts the brokenhearted. He brings light into every shadow: anxiety, addiction, despair. He sees every wound, even those hidden from others.

If you are in Christ, His life is in you. You do not come as a stranger, but as a child who bears His name. In His name, pray for others and for yourself. Speak His truth over fear and sickness. Stand in faith and say, Lord, You carried this. You overcame. I place it in Your hands.

God sometimes heals in a moment. Sometimes, He leads us through a slow journey. In every season, the cross is where healing begins. The empty tomb is our promise that one day, healing will be complete.

Bring your body, your mind, your spirit to Him. Lay your wounds before the One who still bears scars for you. Trust His timing. Hold fast to His word. Keep praying in His name. Through His wounds, hope and healing are yours.

Shalom, JM
